Mei-Lan Tjoa studied 3D Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts. She works and lives near Amsterdam. She started her career as creative manager of events and worked for the creative industry. In the beginning of 2012 she initiated Drop-By.

(9) Drop-By Cushion collection

Some fabrics are so beautiful they must get a second chance. Drop-by has made a lovely collection of cushions with unused fabrics from both the fashion and interior design worlds. This way ribbons, pipings, embroidery threads and the most beautiful fabrics get a second chance to exist.

Surprising and unique pieces are created through one of a kind fabric combinations, with every time a different finishing touch. They are handmade and with an eye for detail. Therefore the diversity in cushions is endless. Its signature is unique and personalised.

Designer Mei-Lan Tjoa’s own accumulation of unused pieces of textiles was the inspiration for this collection. Every cushion is the result of a quest for the most original combinations. Eye catchers, show pieces or collectors items, call them whichever way you want, but each one of them are able to create that desirable ambience in your home.
