12 Dec 2013 - 3 Mar 2014

Light and dark, day and night, black and white: the exhibition in Dutch Design Hotel Artemis shows the theme 'Light & Dark' in different ways. In relation to the annual winter event 'Amsterdam Light Festival' in the Amsterdam city centre, Dutch Design Hotel Artemis offers the possibility to locals and guests in the area Amsterdam New-West to also enjoy this event close to home.

In the lobby of the Amsterdam hotel 10 artists and designers expose their objects, from giant hanging lamps to sparkling glass sculptures. What is the interpretation of 'Light & Dark' of each exhibiter? Is it a shadow, a contradiction or the use of colours? In the dark winter months the lobby is surrounded by light: discover the exhibition and enjoy 'Light & Dark' Food & Drink Design.

The exhibition 'Light & Dark' is open every day of the week, free of charge from 12 December 2013 to 3 March 2014 in Dutch Design Hotel Artemis, John M. Keynesplein 2 in Amsterdam.

The walking route takes you past several inspiring light artworks of the Amsterdam Light Festival. During this unique international exhibition, young and established (international) artists will present their creations in the public space. Works include projections on historical buildings, installations on the street or in public parks, or works that require visitor participation. A unique experience in the darkest months of the year.
